    Sailing with diabetes

    I also am insulin dependent diabetic and sail regularly and have done some pretty long trips. Echo what has been posted. As he gets older - on board & ashore - beware of the alcohol 'bounce' the following day!! Brief crew on what to do and especially not to inject with that pen thing he uses...

    Trailer sailer

    Sailed a Sun 2000 on which we got blown flat and then it turned 'turtle' - not a nice experience at the end of October in a F6. Analysis of the event afterwards would probably say too much sail etc, etc but one issue was the centre board may well have lifted slightly, probably due to slamming...
