Re: It is only 63 ppl
You have to be a member to fill up there. The membership list is currently open for new applications. There is a long wait to get a mooring for larger boats. However, visiting members can stay overnight on a vacant berth foc, and fill up with fuel.
Several members visit...
Re: Have you tried....
The lift pump? I had an old Ford Cortina that had a leaky mechanical fuel lift pump. The diaphragm had split and was dumping petrol into the sump.
Don't know if your engine has mech or electric lift pump.
Worth a try.
All biodiesel suppliers will be able to sell biodiesel for use other than as road fuel at the rebated rate.
This is instead of the current system of having to charge the full rate and the user claim back the duty.
I have just confirmed with HMRC that biodiesel for use other than as road fuel will be availble to purchase from April at a rebated rate of 9.69 ppl. This is the same duty rate as for Red Diesel.
This includes private boats!!!!!!
The current system of paying the full rate and reclaiming the...

10. On and after 1 April 2008, a new rebated rate of duty will be introduced on biodiesel and bioblend used other than as fuel for road vehicles. On and after 1 October 2008, this rate will be increased by the same percentage as main road fuels. The existing repayment...
Don't bugger about with scraping or sanding or chemicals.

No backache, coughing up dust, chemical burns, eyefulls of grit etc...

I purchased two RL80CRC chart/radar displays and a 4kw scanner from US dealers. All worked fine. One of the displays failed after 18 months and was replaced by Raymarine in the UK without question.
A friend of mine has a Princess 32 with two knackered MD32 Volvo diesels with 270 drives.
He wants to re-engine as the MD32 is obsolete. He has spoken to Coastal Rides who don't have anything suitable without spending more than the boat cost.
Any ideas for the best way forward?
I saw this boat in the shed at Essex Boatyards half way through the repair work. Which was extensive to say the least. It certainly looked more than smoke damage.
We thought about buying it at the right price. How ever, it seemed that the last 5 % of the work would be hardest to get right...
I am planing a visit to the Broads for a holidya next week. We have a Princess 440 airdraft 4.8m and draft 1.2 m.
What is the best place to enter? Lowestoft or GT Yarmouth?
I know that the Northern rivers are out, but is there any where to moor in Gt Yarmouth that I can get to?
I will be...
