Taking "used" goods from the UK to the EU - VAT/Customs charges

You may find some answers in the following, copied from Here. It talks about taking personal items to France in "second home" terms, which I would imagine is a very similar scenario to a boat. Customs (Douane) If you are relocating to France customs duties are not payable on personal...

    newbie looking for help

If the mooring fees quoted above are putting you off, there are always cheaper options. In Essex you can have a deep water, all-tides, swinging mooring for probably under £1k per year, or a pontoon walk-ashore mooring on a tidally restricted mooring for similar. You can learn to do the...

    Standard Horizon CP 300i help

Battery normally is only for flash? memory. Basically it remembers roughly where it was when switched off so that it can find itself quicker agin when turned on. I can't imagine it would stop it working completely, but as a cheap component it is probably worth changing it, just in case.

Sending parcels to Spain post Brexit

On it's own, that doesn't really tell us much. We dont know the value of the order for example. The 21% is Spanish VAT, not 'import tax' and can be claimed back by a VAT registered company. If they are not VAT registered, the UK supplier would have had to charge them 20% UK VAT anyway before...

Thank you Pete. You saved me having to explain. Some people on here are quick to judge without taking any effort to research for themselves. from the horses mouth:

    Chinese Diesel heater "Afterburner"

Don’t think you will get an afterburner in the UK now. The seller has decided to stop supply to UK due to VAT implications after Brexit. The OP was lucky. Must have been one of the last.

    Sharks

Sharks scare the bejesus out of me, but I would never wish them any harm. They predate on the sick and the weak, helping evolution, and they scavenge the dead, cleaning up the ocean. I do my best to stay away from them, but I like swimming and diving and prefer warm waters so thats not always...

    Sharks

Sounds like the lad was lucky. If that was my mooring, I don't think i'd ever get in the water again o_O

    Is BUYHACKSZ.TOP a scam website?

OK sorry, misread that. In that case when the goods don't arrive you can try a 'goods not received' dispute.

Has your chartplotter ever broken down?

Yes, twice. First time the signal was lost and never came back. Needed a new aerial. The second time the backlight went. It was still working, but I could not see anything in the daylight. I carry a spare, independent, GPS/plotter now, as well as paper charts.

anyone have a moonraker 35 or had one

I seem to recall that to send and receive PMs you had to have reached a certain number of posts. You have only posted twice, so may not have your PM privileges activated yet. You could try and send one to ithet and see what happens. Hover over the big purple I and hit start a conversation.

    Mariner 3.3 Impeller Renewal ?

The worse thing you are likely to face is stainless steel bolts that go into the aluminium casing that may not have been removed for 15 years. There is a very high chance that one or more could shear. Go very, very gently.

    Identification puzzler Kad 300 - DP-G

Does appear that there are both. Only the OP can answer in their case, and we may have to wait a while to find out.

Mine was black plastic. Defo OEM as I bought the engine brand new.

    Identification puzzler Kad 300 - DP-G

I had a KAD32 and it had these as spacers on the fixing points for the large plastic belt cover. You could easily put the cover back on without them, so may be worth a look. See part 12 on this drawing: Volvo Penta Exploded view / schematic Compressor and Belt Protection: C KAD300-A, KAMD300-A...
