As posted above, the main deck master (are we still allowed to use the term master?) is furthest from the engines and any wave slap isn't it? I'm not sure the Velux (we have them) analogy is appropriate when considering a £10M+ yacht. Presumably there's a couple of punkawallahs holding brollies...
Does anyone remember the horrific joinery on Gludy's vessel? It resembled something knocked up in a 3rd year woodworking class and he was rightly pi$$ed off.
Thanks for your channel, Nick. I subscribe to only a few YT channels and yours is one of them. I too like the larger boats as I'm a perpetual dreamer thinking 'What if...'
Keep it up.
Out of memory, a Pearl 72 is £2.5M for the 'basic' and a Sunseeker 76 is around £3.5M. Both similar size (for the sake of argument) but one is built in the Far East and one in Poole. The reviews mention ad nauseum the interior is Kelly Hoppen so I assume her fee is considerable, being a 'name'...

Seriously though, we had a long walk for 7 hours one summer and I had one pee but drunk several litres of water.
When considering rehydaration little and often is a good rule. Use the pee test as well: if it is dark and smells strong, you are dehydrated. I used to coach junior football and I stressed this to the kids frequently. I remember telling one player to take a drink on a particularly warm day and...
I bought a small piece of MDF yesterday from a timber merchants, 1370 x 360 and took a tenner out of my wallet thinking it would be enough. The man said £15.38, call it £15.
Yes, but any building material you care to mention has gone up enormously in the last 2 years, making a cheap job on an old boat not really acheivable or worthwhile unless you end up keeping it until you or the boat dies.
Interesting comment regarding North African pirates enslaving a whole village, never to be seen again. MSM would have us believe it was solely British ships involved in this trade. Bit controversial...
