Hi,
Just had an offer for a 1997 Predator 58 accepted and its being surveyed the week after next. I'm new to stinkies but have spent a lot of time sailing and racing. The predator does look quite big however compared to the J109 but the wife is much keener.
She is moored down in the Balearics...
I'm looking at a couple of boats.
One is a 10 year old sunseeker and the other a 3 year old fairliner.
My question is what sort of offer under the asking price do you think i should be starting with?
Thanks for any help.
Ali
I am told that no one makes a ten man canister liferaft which is compliant with current RORC regulations. Does anybody know different?
Thanks

Well I think my J109 is much better than your Moody 36 or Match 35..............head down now for expected incoming fire!!!!!

Re: Bavaria Match 35
I was in a similar position to you a year ago looking for something to do RORC racing and a bit of cruising with some round the cans. I previously owned a Bavaria 40 Ocean which I found to be fine in a blow (certainly out in good 8's a couple of times) but was pig slow when...
I'm racing here with RORC next weekend and have never been before. I've herd its not the most interesting of French ports and was wonderign if any body had any suggestions of good pubs and grub?
Thanks

I have a RLC 70 radar / chartplotter, laptop, HSB2 connection, seatalk connection and Raytech Navigator 4.1 (I thing you need V4 or above for radar overlay).
HSB2 and seatalk are availible sepratly from the pathfinderkit and connect to the laptop through serial cable and PCMCII card.
Works...
Yea I do this on Jumunu where its also a lot easier to add way points etc. What you need it the Raymarine Raytech software and the PC kit. All fairly costly when i first bought it (note you need HSB2 through a dedicated type II card and seatalk through a converter)
Look on the Raymarine web...
Had my old boat on the market for 6 months now and slowly reduced the price till she is now at 60% of the price i paid two years ago. Is it just that boats don't sell until March?

I do it through a win TV unit connected to my USB 2 port. Watch out however as earlier USB 1.1 ports may not be fast enough.

Hi, I've just started posting after a 2 year absence from this board and have noticed the racing forum has gone.
How many people on here race and in particular anybody doing any of the RORC stuff or Cork week this year?

Re: Bav 40 ocean
Its on with a well known Bavaria broker and I'm not suggesting they are doing a bad job, far from it they have been very helpful and plesant I'm just supprised its not sold. Its only 2 years old, is 10k cheeper than the next nearest when i look on the web. Few good points...
