Hi,
Just had an offer for a 1997 Predator 58 accepted and its being surveyed the week after next. I'm new to stinkies but have spent a lot of time sailing and racing. The predator does look quite big however compared to the J109 but the wife is much keener.

She is moored down in the Balearics and i was aiming to take her across to Cyprus jumping across the med via Italy etc.
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts? Anyone else owned a Predator 58?

Quite excited at this stage.

Thanks

Ali

In principle, no problem, but I don't know the range of a Predator 58. The long hop from Minorca to Sardinia (assuming that's the route) may be towards the top end of its range and I would want to be sure of the boat and the weather before doing it.

Don't make the ususal raggie mistake of thinking that you can just point it in the right direction and go. Get to know the boat first and preferably get some tuition. Having said that, if my experience of a Camargue 47 is anything to go by, it should have very good seakeeping in most conditions, even when the weather is throwing things at you.

Sounds fantastic. I'm green with envy. Good sailing!
