I have to pictured cradle for my boat and I lost one of the slider that attaches a stay to the frame. Anyone know what make this cradle is or where to get spare parts?
many thanks.

I sailed the S Coast this summer and my brother reminded me it was Start point where my dad capsized. But the engine worked whichever the next harbour was where they put in to.
Well for example Yarmouth IoW explicitly told me without asking. They said its insurance. I asked a boat owner at Buckler's Hard and they said "no way".
I have sailed my 39' fin keel ketch round from Grimsby to currently Teignmouth in Devon (largely single handed). I would like to start the next season from the S Coast, and was thinking of winter storage ashore (have own cradle). Thing is unlike Humber Cruising Association most yards dont let...
Thing about these old Magellan hand helds is they are sotough you can throw them repeatedly at a hard floor and they are fine. Phone, tablets and car sat navs not so much! Also they run on dry cells, which is good as an emergency back up. Many of us carry them in our ditch bags or in a Faraday...
I know this is an old thread but someone might look with the same problem. I have a Magellan Pioneer over 20 years old. It suffers from the GPS 10 bit week roll over problem and displays a data that is 1024 weeks ( about 19.7 years) in the past. So I think if you set the date and approx...

Hopefully after a few months they will notice they are getting no corrections!

Looking at my new copy of Reeds I looked up my home port of Grimsby and found loads of errors. I checked the corrections on line, then I checked last years and it was the same. I dutifully tried to file a report on the email they give, and it bounced. Anyone else found loads of mistakes in...
Have a look over your course notes for your SRC or other radio qualification. There is a good reason regular radio checks are a recmmended part of GMDSS. Practically coax and plugs corrode on small boats, and you might be able to reach the marina but what matters is you can contact the CG at...
By far the simplest thing to do is use a camera, which is a bit ironic as all the huge amount of work has gone in to making small cheap cameras and IP camera aps for phone and its vastly more complicated but now very easy to get to work. Especially given the signal from a radar is basically just...
So suppose I just take the analogue signal from my old Furuno (it is a 1621), the coax cable, and put it through a video rate analalogue to digital converter, it I had a synch signal from the rotation I could just write a few lines of code to display it in polar coordinates... maybe a little...
I have an old Furuno radar on my 39 foot ketch. It works fine but it is mounted above the chart table and sailing short handed I need to see it in the cockpit. I have tried improvising with an IP camera and then view on phone or tablet but of course cant play with settings so I am hankering...
Thanks. That is complete systems but looks good. What about buying a kit? I heard a rumor of a small place in Devon making them but maybe they don't trade any more?
