For river use these are better in single engine, half the cost, if you then want to make a Volvo powered one good and reliable, replace the engine with a Nanni N4.50 with the Volvo bell housing adaptor. You'll spend some money but have good reliable package.
EXACTLY, and the way they are fitted, we used to grease everything including all bolt threads with OMC Triple Guard grease, you could take the drive off ten years later! Every thread we assembled, engine or drive was greased or lubricated as required.
Lock walls are no longer cleaned, locks are becoming scruffy, it's all very sad. No one cares anymore.
Locks unmanned on a regular basis, liveaboards pumping nearly as much crap into the Thames as Thames Water, the list goes on.

Where ever the battery switch is, that battery will only drain or be charged, it will be connected to domestics and engine.
So normally when the engine is running have it on both, evening tine use batt 1 or 2, it you want to charge 1 battery quickly select that number.
