Assuming you switch HCU from the same side engine then it will work without issue at either helm station you swap it to. If you swap between engines then they would need software overwriting to match them to the engine they are now attached to, although worst case for the short term would be...
Just reread your original post-have you done the empty tank calibration, or just the full & multipoint?
The empty tank calibration alone should be sufficient to give an accurate reading across the range
The EVC system will work for both 0-180Ohms or the US 33-240Ohms; it will pick up the range when you auto configure and work out the empty to full range when you (at minimum) calibrate it to empty
Have you done an auto-configuration with the new sender connected? And are you happy that the Ohms...
DPS bellows have changed and are now spec’d as changing every 4 years. DPH haven’t changed as far as I am aware and are suggested for change every 2 years
Regarding the comment from @oldgit regarding leaving them trimmed up, if the trim rams were external on the boat in question then it’s...
Are you sure it was PID 51? As that doesn’t appear to be in the manual
MID128 is the engine ECU, and FMI7 will be ‘mechanical system not responding properly
But the middle bit can be PID, SID, PPID or PSID with all of them followed by a number, so this middle section is important to get right
Ok, my apologies I had misread your message about the G & H being on the same drive. To have different sets on either drive is still specifically stated as a no-go by Volvo though
When doing the further tests, see what each RPM engine is able to reach, either together or when only one is...
What RPM are you getting from each engine when the issue occurs?
Any faults/alarms?
H & G series props shouldn’t be mixed between drives let alone on the same drive, and H require a different prop cone to G, so that should be corrected. Single G series prop sizes are still available, whereas H...
When you are next onboard, switch it all on as normal.
Switch off the battery at the isolator switch rather than the ignition, and then switch it back on & see if it all powers up as normal. Do this a few times if it works normally
Then switch it off using the ignition, and then switch back on...
Did the spare PCU that was fitted have an autoconfiguration completed to let it know it had an actuator connected to it?
I’d still be tempted to swap the PCU’s and programme them for each engine, then you can test it over a few days/trips and know for certain if it’s that or not
If it’s getting worse/more frequent then it’s possibly a good thing, as it means if you swap a component to the other engine you’ve got more chance of the problem showing up on that side as well & proving the fault
Presumably today was done with the control units still back to where they should...
