Med-based Motor Yacht Syndicates, any experience?

Ex member. Syndicate of 3, Thames based, 40ft TSMY. I adapted small aircraft syndicate agreement, main clauses being exit strategy, valuations, timescales etc. Eight in my opinion is far too many to reach any agreement on issues that arise. I did consider @petem deal a while ago, unbeknown to...

Maidenhead Reach (Maidenhead Bridge to Boulter Lock) - overhanging trees

Been down the Taplow channel several times this summer with a draught of 3'10" with no problems. Maybe it could be treated as a one way system if the trees are becoming an issue. Looking forward to the opening of the new restaurant.

EA is failing in its responsobilities regarding lock starcases.

Re: Its a dangerous world out there Innit ? Never used a lock staircase in 15 years, even single handed. If the steps and rails look green and slimey why would you use them.

I hope this doesn't belong to anyone on here

I guess at the end of the day this all comes down to "you pays your money, you takes your chances" The bulk of marinas, but not all float, depends on the annual cost. If it's bankside, chances are there is someone to keep an eye on the boat. Failing this, your on your own.

I hope this doesn't belong to anyone on here

Whilst I agree with "duty of care" I was speaking with a Broom owner yesterday, his boat was capable of handling the current river conditions, but was advised by his insurers that cover was only valid whilst on his mooring. Mooring is shortly not to be a mooring any longer !!!

I hope this doesn't belong to anyone on here

Bit the bullet yesterday after a few sleepless nights. The top of the risers I would guess at 8 feet above normal summer water level, with about six inches remaining decided it was time to evacuate Louis Phillipe from Wraysbury. Only accessible by Land Rover, waders and finally dinghy, but fired...

    Beneteau Antares 8.80

"Had Teckdeck floor fitted in rear cockpit which enhances the boat and is much softer under foot" What sort of cost was incurred here?

    Pub suggestions near Windsor

Most people seem to leave the marinas and automatically turn up stream. As an alternative, you could always go down stream through Windsor, along Runnymead and have lunch at The Three Horseshoes in Laleham. But book first. Whichever, you will have a great day out.
