Our oil is normally pretty dirty when it get changed at the end of the season out of our 2030. At the moment the engine has decided to assist in the new season oil change by depositing about 1 litre in the bilge below it! I will be topping it up at some pt in March and finding out where it came...
Hi
Just returned from the boat having gone down to check up on it, its still in the water. Turned the engine on without checking the oil level first, the pressure alarm sounded which it normally does with the correct oil level in it (it always has and there is nothing wrong with the sensor)...
I did a delivery on a Whitbread 60 between Antigua and the Azores in Jan 2000, we were planning on going to Scotland but due to the weather system parked the boat up in the Azores.
The weather was very windy and wavey, the Skipper Paul Jeffes ex Global Challenge said it was similar to the South...
I was in Las Palmas before the ARC 99 (On a Oyster 46) when a chap moored up next to us on a brand new Bavaria 38, he had crossed biscay in either October/November due to the delivery of the boat. Only thing wrong with it was a broken gooseneck at the boom/mast connection after a gybe of a big...
I have had the pleasure of trying to sail in the solent in similar conditions to Snowleopard, wind over tide can create some large breaking waves in solent that our 38ft boat wasn't that happy about, we stuck out there for a while and then headed for cowes.
I have also been caught cross channel...
Well my missus has just had her first scan, my brother with his 16wk baby has been around and we have already been discussing the same thing.
He opening gambit was putting the boat ashore for 2 years until the babies were a bit older, I am glab to see that this thread is confirming what I have...
Coppercoat at Port Solent
I Installed coppercoat to our 38ft westerly 4 years ago. For the first 3 seasons it was kept at Ocean Village and jet washed once a year at Sealift in Cowes.
This season past where we moved the boat to Port Solent at the beginning of the season the growth after 3-4...
Hi
We have recently (April) moved the boat to Port Solent from Ocean Village, now I had the boat cleaned off at Sealift in Cowes in May where the coppercoat (3-4 seasons old) was in good condition and only need the usual slime washed off after 12 months fouling.
Now we were on the boat...
Sorry to hijack the thread, but what are Northstar products like?
Looking at stuff like this.

Thoughts?
Many Thanks
Considering you have probably the best system on the market when you bought it then I would go with the forth option, if you can just remove the mast head unit and swap straight across then do so.
Look what make all the Volvo 70's use!
What boat is it?
I have bought one of the above filters and was looking to see if a 15mm to 1/2" BSP Tap Connector is what I need to join the plastic pipe to the threads on the filter.
Or should I be using another connector?
Many Thanks.
Alex
Well the chap in question is a Director of a fairly large marine engine servicing and installation place in Southampton.
In reply to a question earlier when the engine had been run for a while it will quite happily sit at idle with out the oil pressure warning going off?
