What's HMS Pembroke up to? Has she lost something? She's been going round in circles in the Firth of Forth off Rosyth since 0600 and is still at it 14+ hours later.

This is the view aft from the bridge during our full power trial.
The Carrier Prince of Wales has been knitting spaghetti a bit further north to.
I was beginning to wonder if Pembroke was looking for something PoW dropped while she was waiting to transit the bridges.
I think I remember this episode, doesn't it end with Cmdr Povey's mother-in-law finally going home, and then Sub-Lt. Phillips crashes the ship?

The beeb could commission a new series based upon a fictitious aircraft carrier with prop problems, leaks and improper use of cars ..............
I quote:
“ The project, which got underway at the beginning of this year, included Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) work on the freshwater tanks, an overhaul of the propulsion systems, maintaining generators and work on the ship’s sonar and communications system.”
This took fifty people “plus specialist subcontractors”, nine months? She’s only a tiddler.
A typical merchant ship maintains her own propulsion systems and generators and is in and out of dry dock in ten days, with specialist subcontractors for the comms.
Strewth!
