Interesting article in the Sunday Times yesterday about the increase in the number of narrow boats on the canal system.
"There are now almost 30,000 narrow boats on the 2,200 miles of the canal network, compared with 23,000 in 1997. But there is a shortage of moorings and British Waterways estimates that it will need an extra 12,000 to meet demand in the next decade."
