Talking of Delos, we appear to be walking in their footsteps. Spotted this at the 'yacht club' here in the BahamasPXL_20250405_140505334~2.jpg

I am waiting to see what happens when that buzzbar comes into contact with sea water. As far as I am concerned it is not if but when. I think that Brian is a very smart resourceful man and I used to love watching them get breakaged fixed, but I think he has lost his head over this. He should have completely separated the positive and negative, I am horrified by this design.

It’s an aluminium boat so “completely separated” is probably optimistic at best. Better to have them in a well protected known location I’d say. I’d like to know what the equivalent stranded insulated cable would be as bare copper does feel a bit exposed.

Yes, have watched from the start. Sometimes despair at his sailing techniques but he must be doing something right. Says the man who has not left the English channel...
Love hm and his content but me and the bride reckon he still can’t sail it properly! 😂

Another great channel is Erik Aanderaa - He's an unassuming Norwegian dude who sails alone in the North Sea and North Atlantic in pretty wild conditions.
