Your most tranquil sailing moments...

...are moments like these

Coming back, last easter weekend. No one around.... yet. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Plenty later on though. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

My most tranquil moment was at the end of holiday cruise last year. Slipped from Burnham at about 0600 in a light breeze and sailed home up the Crouch in early morning mist and utter silence doing about one knot while SWMBO and daughter slept below. Just me, the egrets and the water chuckling around the stem.

Until some arsehole in a speed boat with a ghetto blaster came belting down the river. What is it with mobos ?

I'd hazard a guess that's because this is a yachting forum! Have had several 'mobo' tranquil moments (and I don't have a getto blaster on board) - early morning prior to first dive off the galapagos islands, leaving Solent motor yachts in the early morning November mist in our new to us boat, sunset on the barrier reef. We are not all noise crazed speed freaks - it's just that sailing isn't for all of us. PS haven't worked out photos yet, so you'll just have to use your imaginations /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Indeed, I do, Al,

It was that DS course with ATS & Glen, back in August 2004, that led me to where I am now!

And here you can see the "cat who got the cream"?

Or is it a case of the "dog with two d**ks"?

In any event Mr & Mrs Emjaytoo are very happy !!!
