Your boat on Streetview.

Unfortunately, Google Earth only shows the trailer in our drive. So, it must have been the Summer and the boat was in Holyhead marina!

I am on the inside of the red and the blue boat

The pic of our place (boat in driveway) is at least two years old, and were away, boating of course.

It's a great facility though. Possibly more recent pics, in the populated (western) areas?

I am too stupid to know how to use Streetview so if someone can give me a guided tour I will happily put my boat up.

Luckily I had a ten year old child show how to use Streetview.

First of all go to Google Maps and enter the post code or the road and town in the search box. 'Anyhow Road, Anytown' is the convention.

Once the location appears in the map panel you will see an icon.

Put your cursor over the little man and left click and hold and then you can drag him to wherever you want. All Streetview roads will be highlighted in blue.

Drag him to the road you want, remembering that the little green circle that drags with him is your target area. Release the mouse button and streetview will load. You can then navigate by double clicking in the distance or left click and hold to turn in any direction. You can zoom into objects.

To exit Streeview and return to Google Maps, right click and "Zoom out of Streetview".

You can also use Google Earth.

Thanks for the lesson MC.

I found my two old berths and my boat wasn't there...
I found my current berth and the picture must have been taken years ago as the marina hasn't looked like that in quite a while... Oh and my boat wasn't there!

I nearly got sucked into Kawasaki's fantasy world earlier.

I was innocently polishing my boat when he suggested that as Briza was parked next to the road I should Streetview it as he had not got the necessary skills to do it.

"Yes" I said, "I can picture my RIB as well."

It was only while I was driving to the shops that I remembered that I bought the RIB and Kwaka put Briza on the hard months after the Google chaps had done their snooping.

So, after a bit of searching, here is Briza in its natural environment.

Some of the old Google Maps are old, but the Streetviews are mostly from last year.

Ignore the old satellite view and Streetview the road nearest, or overlooks, your boat and then start the streetview man, your boat should be where you had it last year.
