The caracruiser. See the keen price on E-Bay /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Oh No. Ice-cream wars at the moment. The contracts put out to tender seem to have gone all a bit flop at the moment. I think some one overbid to get a good pitch and couldn't make money.
Anyway, not many jetskiers and sportboaters to sell to. Yotties are tightwads.

I wonder how it would go with a nice red balanced-lugsail?

Mmmmmm, Nice!!!!!!!!!

Is it Russian made?

(actually, more like Cornish Maid!)

Caracruiser?
Boatavan?
pullayot?
Pullatub?
heapacrap?

any other ideas?

You've got to use the e-bay logic. Where else can you get afloat for that money?
Anyway, paint it white, put "Bayliner" down the side and stick it in the marina. Who'll know the difference?

Hey watch it you!!

Cornish Maid claims the right by being built in Cornwall, and as my family hail from this lovely county, I feel we can both claim connections with the extreme southwest.

I also like icecream!

But the tub you showed in the picture is remiscent of the Broads yacht my Ex and I hired when on holiday many years ago. It was so slow we couldn't keep up with the swans.

I know you were referring to the bath-tub in the piccy ... a Broads job by the looks of it ...

But the title reminded me of why I never bought a bigger boat ... SWMBO insisted on spending half my money on a Caravan ... the other half was gratiously left for me to buy the boat I wanted ... well somewhere towards it ...

By the time I got to boat only stage - I was into divorce and so that put paid to it again !!

The other quaint trick that gets to you .... SWMBO with her caravan will plan the hols right smack bang in the middle of your hols ... so that boat time is a measly day here and there either side of it , you miss the best tides, everyone else is enjoying the best breezes and days ever on the water - while you are stuck on the bloody road in a traffic jam with everyone hating you as you have a bed-box on the back of yer car.

I asked her so many times ...can you PLEASE book the caravan holiday at the start or end of the period - so I can have a good stint on the boat ... answer - well I thought it better so that we can get all things sorted etc.

I gave up ....

Ignore the superstructure and the hull shape does not look too bad. Cut the superstructure off and you could make it in to a perfectly good little boat for calm inland waterways. Would probably only need a 10 to 15 HP outboard.

Cut the superstructure off

[/ QUOTE ] What? That's contemporary chique that is. You wouldn't cut the frilly bits off an Arts and Crafts house. The very idea.
It's so awful it's nearly great. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I feel I'm becoming an expert now. There's a guy on there who is on his second Caracruiser. Far superior to the Caraboat. Except that the floor appears to collapse around the trailer mounts.

Oh No! I almost feel like making a bid! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

On a canal it looks perfectly OK, but when we think of a boat we don't think of anything like that.
Funny old world!

is that the latest fad around new orleans ....... amphibious trailer parks
