Did they mention Charter income to off set the costs

I was until I bought a boat.:ambivalence:

My annual budget is about £6k excluding fuel

Wow that is pretty good going for a 15m boat! I spend about the same on a 21foot mobo and 20foot raggie in the Solent. About 10 years ago I spent £10k a year for a 14m raggie.

If only it were practical to be in the med with 3 school age kids.......

You might also add excluding running repairs. I budgeted 10 last year. Spent more than double all in. Bloody shoals :D

Even so, still pretty good going. I suppose my two add up to 41 feet and since a lot of costs are by the foot/metre I shouldn't be so surprised.

It is very good value. I doubt I could afford to ru bathe boat comfortably over here.

Berth is £2700 pa inc water and electricity
Just had a lift, 2 days in the yard and relaunch £400
Sand, antifoul with micron extra, polish props and replace a nodes £813 all in
Insurance £540 pa
Probably don't need to service the DDs this year but I'm allowing £1000 every year to make £2000 every 2 years

My 7m berth with MDL in UK is more than that :(

Thats Great value. My 30 ft boat cost 4k on a dry stack at premier marina in gosport. Without servicing etc

I'd hope that Jez will suffer minimal depreciation too. When I eventually get my syndicate going I'll be hoping for sub £5k p.a. per share and that includes contingency.

Dunno about that - fairly limited market for my boat I imagine.
In the scheme of things the enjoyment is worth it even if I effectively wrote the value off.
I expect to keep her 10 years and don't expect much back after that
