If you can afford $360,000 of outboards, plus the boat then I would not have thought fuel would be a problem at 9.3 litres per mile for all 6 at 3500rpm.

When we lived on board in Florida, Merle, our excellent local loo guru had previously worked on US Customs boats like that, needed to intercept the Miami Vice type drug smuggler boats operating into southern Florida from places evil. He was a darn good engineer on outboards too as well as loos.

I think I might have posted a photo but I was talking to a customs and border patrol guy a few years ago with 4 BIG outboards and asked how fast it went - his reply was "more than 40 kts"
