Arriving in Yorkshire last Saturday the first thing I did was charter a yacht. However I was greatly surprised by the E ba goom laxity. First of all they were'nt interested in my YM certificate, completely ignored my enquiry as to CDW and when I tried to spring off I discovered there was no engine and even worse no mast. We improvised and used a couple of sweeps to get going, they were'nt too impressed as they were on their way to a wedding and the soot washed off when they fell in.I returned the boat as I was'nt happy with the inventory and when I tried to reason with the yacht charter agent was told in no uncertain terms to stop bothering him. Fortunately other aspects of Yorkshire were slightly better but be warned about chartering craft there. On the plus side it was reasonably cheap and rained a lot. Little one was in fact heard to say she preferred our own boat to Yorshire .. Yippee one down .. three to go! Next holiday in Norfolk I reckon!

Re: hm

And where exaccerly were these engineless mastless boats? It sounds suspiciously like Knaresborough. And I hope you remebered the name of the riverish grounds!

The charter business was probably run by Lancastrians. They wouldn't know what a CDW is.
Cheers, Dave

Re-engineering boundaries.

Woops, suppose I shud, but as you know my jollies are spent in - wait for it - 2nd highest property price rising UK location - PeelyWeely!!

Skeggy is in lincs at the moment, but a little bit of political re-boundarying should soon be able to sort it out.

Despite living onlya few miles from "Huddersfield Town are going down (again)" centre,we have been booted into a Wakefield constituency. Our local parish remains resolutely in Hudds - the mind boggles:))
