YM\'s BVI adventure charter

Just back today from a two week charter in the BVI with The Moorings courtesy of the March YM competition, and noticed this link (see top of page).

It looks like a great deal, particularly if you'd rather flotilla than go it alone . . . thoroughly recommended.

Article and pix of our trip to follow shortly on BM

Cold here innit?

Re: YM\'s BVI adventure charter

yep i agree it shd be quite nice, but er "adventure" ? Marina cay, gorda sound, anegada, green garden cay, jost van dyke, norman island. Duh?

imho, it wd be a teensy bit more adventurous if they went into gorda sound by the southern gap bit, for example, blind nav to anegada, and each day included a circumnavigation of tortola. hehe.

was my earlier piece in the least bit correct? I suppose it will be utterly relegated now, harumph. But you can cut it about if any use.

Re: YM\'s BVI adventure charter

Your account was very helpful . . . missed the Baths, went to Norman Is caves and agree totally - best snorkelling ever, even when stupid Yanks insisted on feeding the fish . . . lots of other good stuff, helped a lot.

Had the Anegada Reef Hotel lobster in spite of your comments, and you were rtight but for the wrong reason . . . lobster was excellent, but the service/ambience was appalling. Will definitely try another eating establishment next time we visit Anegada.

Blind nav to Anegada sounds like fun . . . but they have spiced it up a bit anyway by removing one of the red and two of the green buoys from the entrance channel.

For jaded souls suggest a night snorkel by torchlight under the galley at Willie T's (Norman Is, Pirate's Bight) when the cook is slinging the scraps overboard. I'm sure all those women wouldn't jump overboard naked if they saw that first.

Your article will of course remain . . . one man's meat is after all another homme's poisson.
