Does anyone actually read YM using Zino. Not very impressed with it as a format and gave up.

I had Zinio for YM and PBO for a year. Very good format and I only switched because with the paper subs I get a free iPad copy otherwise id still use it.

I use Zinio on iPad for Yachting World - preferred it over the other iPad formats

I didn't like Zinio much partly because of their player app. You can get the magazine on Google Play, subscribe to it if you want, and read it either on a PC running the Chrome Browser or an Android tab. That's what I do..

It was good, that it was basically a digital copy. It was terrible (Zinio limitation) at interactiveness.

I'd like to keep them as archives, so I think it is a poor show that you can't get a version for the PC with the paper sub, the iPad copies use 500MB each.

Its not a "poor show" its what we are able to do at the moment... astonishingly one of the biggest providers does not have the man power to deliver the electronic format on time at the moment..its not always our fault you know!

Any that you have paid for you can keep. You may just have to download them once more (free) as they are memory intensive however this is also improving.
Happy to answer any more questions on Monday as I have to go and adress a flat battery.

ive had no problems since subscribing in 2011. In Australia the paper versions are 2-3 months behind so there is an immediate benefit to get the new copy the same time as the UK. also I download onto a laptop and an iphone so can read anywhere

Ah well I had another go last night. I am using a 17 inch laptop. Its a poor experience trying to read a document formatted for paper print. It just does not work very well. It needs to be reformatted for reading online like the Guardian newspaper for instance. Certainly not worth buying for a PC. I'll have another go tonight on my wifes ipad after I finish the anti fouling.

Have you tried the different reader views?
I still dont understand why yours differs if I am honest but happy to help in the week if you have a further problem

Are you aware of the "text" button? this just shows the article text and is much easier to read on the iPad.

Hi Richard I just have landscape 1 page or 2. 1 page is slightly better. The problem seems to be that because its just an image its very tedious trying to follow the text unless you have the whole page on one screen. Its just horrible to use on a laptop. Zinio 4 does not seem much better than the version I tried a couple of years ago. Maybe I am missing something. It would have been good if the magazine could have been a PDF.

No, it's about a fiver difference compared to digital (ipad) only or £3 difference to Zinio (watch out for the hidden VAT with some of Zinios pages)
I only really wanted a digital copy but for a couple of quid I figured I'd get some paper too
Also, I like YBW so a bit more support is worth a couple of quid if it means they keep up the good work!
