When I placed my boat in YM classified I checked to see if it was going to be put on this site in the private boats for sale section. "Yes" they said goes in automatically and it's free. Gave me the contact name and number, (which was wrong) but eventually got through to the man to confirm, who said the same. OK I thought. Next month, April, May Issue out but no ad 'on line' on the site. Called the man who said it will appear in May 'cause it is May issue and now is April, hmmm I thought, bit pedantic but this is the boat business. Must cost fortunes to put an ad on a site which claims to have trillions of boats for sale. Anyway waited till May, couple of days in, checked the site, no ad. Tried to call the man, not there, left message. No reply, no ad. June Issue comes out (I'd paid for two months like the nice girl convinced me to do), methinks that it is all my timing and understanding that us wrong, new issue out so boat must now be on the web. No. Tried to contact man again, no luck. June arrives and I am finally convinced that they must now have put my ad in, No, nothing not a squishy zilching full stop. Now if you look at the site it says just the same thing, ad in mag gets ad on site. To make matters worse, there are dealers and brokers advertsing in the private classified. When you book these ads its amazing how well tuned the payment system is, money comes out of the card account quicker than Schumy from the pits. I wouldn't mind but there are no other boats like mine on the site so some poor bugger might be really upset thinking he is down on his luck, and the selling season is fast disapearing.

So what do I do? Have I been done 'cause they havn't fullfilled their promise or 'cause it's free it's not worth a sausage anyway?

There was a problem earlier in the year, about March, when the dataload from IPC print ads to the website was delayed by a few weeks. It looks as if is happening again. Last time Kim sorted it out. Try a PM to Kim.

Please contact me

We take a datafeed from the repro house. The system is not perfect and we are trying extremely hard to correct it. As suggested please PM me with your classified reference number and also please with the details of your contacts here.

There is no intent to do anything than provide the best service that we can and (avoiding using the language that I hate on such occasions) I'm very sorry we screwed up on this occasion.

Re: Please contact me

You reply so quickly to any post containing the word Kim that I'm convinced you've set up some routine whereby a hooter goes off in the office if anyone types your name!
