So, the signal flags are all strung together in the correct order ready for Friday, and a quick check through my books suggests that dressing overall is only done when at anchor (Spade 60, since you asked), or moored, but the question of the additional masthead (red) ensign (on bamboo pole) raises it's, err, hoist.

I /think/ that can/should be worn when underway, then lowered, and the fore'n'aft dressing lines tied on and hoisted when stopped.

I'm planning on flying my 2-yard Scots ensign "house flag" from the port crosstrees - should I still fly the international "children on board" Jolly Roger below that, or keep the JR on it's own on port and move the Scots ensign to starboard, (or even the taffrail!) as it's the son of the Duke of Rothesay/Earl of Carrick/Baron of Renfrew/Lord of the Isles/Prince and Great Steward of Scotland that's getting married?

Any pedants care to advise?

Two options

1. Deface the Scots ensign with the jolly roger and fly from the taff rail

2. Deface the Jolly Roger with Scots ensign and fly from the masthead

for both options copious amounts of grog is required

Well I think it worked out well, but you can't quite see the 'normal' RE on the backstay.

Alas, we didn't hoist the extra ensign to masthead when underway, but then again, I wouldn't have been able to get any pics of that.
