Yet another knot question

What type of knot is used here to attach the snapshackle? (If it is a knot and not just an eye splice)

Looks like an eye slice fed through itself. You can see the diameter of the rope decrease near the luff of the sail. I wish my ropes were all that clean and sparkly.

Possibly a double overhand. Hard to see the full knot.
