Does anyone know af a reasonably priced source of yellow Treadmaster sheets or a similar alternative that wont break the bank. Similarly I have been trying to source some items of teak trim from Simpson Lawrence, however their website is off and the telephone numbers I have on their catalogue are now unobtainable. Have they gone bust or something? If so do any of you know where I can still source teak trim, again at a reasonable price. Cheers

Simpson Lawrence RIP

they were taken over by souwester who in turn went bust in 2001. a few products have been taken on by other manufacturers but most are now obsolete. Yacht Parts Plymouth have acquired some of their spares but i don't know how wide a range.

you could try JKHowells of poole for teak bits.

Re: Simpson Lawrence not quite dead

Simpson Lawrence Distribution was sold by Clyde Marine plc (the parent company) to Sowester.

Sowester became Sowester Simpson-Lawrence and then went bust.

Clyde Marine plc retained the Simpson Lawrence brand name and they continue to manufacture windlasses with that name. They are distributed through Lewmar who are also part of Clyde Marine.

The UK distributor which has a similar range to the old Sowester is Mark Dowland Marine
