yearly

Nope. Will try in on Monday between the rain showers.... with a fender & bucket of course, not one of the children.

Did about 10 practices last month :)

This; I was going to say that practicing once a year is practicing to fail when you actually need to do it. Even if you don't lob the bucket and bouy over to do the full drill, 5 mins spent approaching a mooring or piece of flotsam as if it were a MOB provides the exercise in boat control needed.

Seems people are always falling OFF sailing boats, but apart from ribs, who has incidences of someone falling OUT of a mobo?

Mrs E accidentally dropped a fender 2 weeks ago. Funny, we tend to practice at planing speed. Worth doing one at D speed too, it's all very different.

Hmm. We too dropped a fender ob recently, in the Hamble. Just span mobo round and reversed up to it for hooking out, engines left running. Retrieving was somewhat different to an mob situation.

Did a few the other week while ringoing round from Osbourne bay, in among the pots :(

All participants recovered safely :)
