so called 'marine' gear at chandlery prices that corrode because of chepskate materials.
especially zips

The "can't you see we are racing" brigade.

Where exactly in the COLREGS does it say you have right of way over everyone else if you are racing? Must have missed that bit.

Experience is a good teacher, but she sends in terrific bills.

What Would I put in room 101?

Hmm. Racers who think they have the right of way all the time over cruisers
Cruisers who inisist on ploughing through racing fleets to prove a point.
Nannies who try and impose their will on others

In fact anyone who thinks that their sport, their way of life, their beliefs, their job is the only important thing on the plannet and has no time or tolerance for anyone else.

Brass plated screws that are labeled as "brass".
Starlings that eat blackberries ("Eats, Sh1tes and leaves"). How soon we forget them, until next autumn.

Add to that all fake 'hi tech' materials
Like stuff in 18/8 stainless instead of marine grade 316 so it goes rusty in about 3 seconds.
Like Drill bits with a 3 micron thick gold paint on them labelled as 'Titanium'

I'm sure theres many more examples !

1. Sailors who think all sailors should have 40 years experience and know everything, give the new guys a break.

2. Sailors who think that the only sailing grounds in the UK are in the Solent

KIMS BLOODY CREDIT CARD BROWSER
Roger,

Apologies it was us - a piece of pop-up code was instigated on the site and it was rolled out onto the forums by mistake. It was capped at one appearance per user per day but capping relies on cookies and anyone with third party cookies disabled would have got bombarded...that's the fault of Accucard's ad supplier but we've solved it now by stripping it off of the forums.
