Anyone have any experience replacing an electric fuel pump with something other than a yanmar part? I am wondering if there is an equivelant motoring part that would do the job.Would it cause any harm fitting one with too high a flow rate?
I have also read on an other forum that someone did away with the fuel pump and used a "gravity fed system" is this possible if the fuel tank is higher than the engine if so why is there one fitted in the first place?
