Yanmar marine ignition switch - 1GM

Hi
Looking at prices for the Yanmar marine ignition switch - 1GM10 etc (Yanmar marine ignition switch - 1GM 1GM10 2GM 3GM - 124070-91250 | eBay)
Over £100 for a simple switch with 2 connectors, wow!!!
Anyone know of a suitable alternative please?
I gave up on key operated "ignition" switched a long while ago. Replaced with a simple toggle switch plus a push button for cranking. The master switch is inside a locked cabin so a seperate key switch is not necessary.

A simple toggle switch inside out of the weather and
a weatherproof push switch handy in the cockpit will give you an improved ignition switch system at a very low cost.
It you are worried about someone nicking your boat, you can put the inside switch in a discrete location.

Yep ... I installed a simple toggle switch that when ON .. buzzer sounds to tell me Alternator excite is live ..... and that the next two push to make are available >

Then I have a push to make button that energises the glow element if needed.

Another push to make is the starter button ...

I thought of going back to an all in one key switch .... I have one from an old car ... but the simplicity of the present setup soon puts that idea back to bed.

I fitted this item. From right to left it's the push to start button, alternator indicator light, start button isolator. The switch on the left energises my cooling pumps and the alternator isolator, but that's my own 'stuff'. The switch assembly is readily available on Amazon/eBay and so on.
The whole lot are energised by an isolator switch closer to the batteries.

It used to be that if you wanted a simple ignition switch without the extra positions that many car key switches have - you went for a Forklift ignition key switch ... rugged ... simple ... and as I found out - usually same switch as 'marine engines' used !!! (at marine higher price of course).
