i purchased a new impeller formy 1gm10
the part that came was jabsco profile A 21414-0001-P
when i fitted the impeller no water outlet,
i refitted the old impeller water out immediately,
i have checked the genuine yanmar part number 128176-42071
the jabsco impeller was fitted correctly and
was turning when i rotated the pully wheel

The part No I have for the Yanmar Water Pump impeller is 128176-42071 purchased from French Marine. Are you sure you fitted it in the pump with the wee blades the correct way. Regards.

I had a similar problem when I went to replace the impeller on my 3GM30. Turns out that Yanmar sometimes fit any water pump they have in the factory (or something like that) and so rather than the 'Yanmar' part as specified in the manual it required a different one. Only thing to do is take it out and identify any markings on the existing impeller or take it to the shop! If it is the same as the 'Yanmar' recommended one, get a hammer!!

Good luck.
