I recently moved from VP to Yanmar and I want to build up my spare parts pack to have on board but It's being hard to find the part numbers...

Do you know a website like https://www.marinepartseurope.com for Yanmar parts? So we can use the model or even the SN of the engine to get the right spare part numbers.

Thank you

French Marine at Brightlingsea are a main Yanmar dealer so you're looking at full factory prices. They are, however, an excellent firm to deal with. A friend sailing in Scotland says parts are quicker from him than via his "local" agent.

Bear in mind that a lot of the basic Yanmar engine parts are common across both industrial equipment and marine engines -the best source may not always be a "marine" outlet??? Tracking down part number equivalents can be equally hard.... but rewarding.

This being one https://www.aandygroup.com/ay-news/category/parts Don't mention marine engine just ask for a price for the part number.

Just an update: I end up buying all spare parts I want to have on board at keypart.com. They where very fast and easy going with everything. Even knowing I'm a portuguese citizen, buying from an UK company and requesting to send everything to a marina office in France! :O
No issues at all (but I must say that, in spite of marina office confirmed the package reception, I still didn't check it!).

The helpful team

In Dartmouth Chandlery, soon printed off a standard service parts list for my specific Yanmar engine, this is a one page document listing the top 20 or so service parts numbers. This must be available for each engine family. My web hunting has not found the source, but dealers can obviously get hold of it.

Regards

To rebuild my 3GM30 I bought all of my parts in the USA, had them shipped over on UPS, paid the duty and tax and still saved around 40% on the cheapest UK supplier I could find. You do need a friend with an address in the USA as the dealers there are forbidden from shipping out of state let alone out of country but if that's doable it really is worth it if you're buying expensive items.

+1 French Marine may cost you Yanmar prices, however, their customer service is exceptional. When I've been stuck on engine problems I have spent hours on the phone to French Marines service manager, with no promise of buying anything (I connected my single level control up wrong ).

You get what you pay for, and French Marine are worth paying full ticket for. I have no affiliation to them, only that they have bailed me out with there expertise on more than one occasion.
