Yanmar Anodes 3gmd

Looking at replacing the anodes on my 3gmd, do i need to drain oil or raw water side to complete this

Not sure there are any anodes in a 3GM if it is fresh water cooled.

I think you are right but isn't there an 'F' in the number if its fresh water cooled?

If is directly seawater cooled I think there are a couple of anodes One in the head and one in the block ????

It's obviously necessary to drain the water, or at least be prepared for it to escape.

Quite right - 2 anodes in the 2/3GM raw water cooled engines but none in the 2/3GMF freshwater cooled engines
