Yanmar 6LP STE 315hp

Hi, does anyone have experience of these engines and is there anything to be wary of?
Any indication of likely servicing costs and fuel consumption would be great.

I have the 6lp dte, same engine just drive is different. Mines just blown a turbo !
Been trouble free apart from that.

I have a pair of the 12 valve 6tp dtp units 260hp. They seem very well regarded. There was an issue with a batch of the 315hp engines where the valve seals were faulty but otherwise good (loads of information on Boatdiesel.com).
Yanmar service parts are expensive but you can easily source equivalent fluids / filters for a fraction of the cost, they are based on the Toyota Landcruiser 4.2 diesel.
Easy enough to service yourself as long as access is reasonable.
I don’t have much information on fuel consumption, again Boatdiesel is your friend.
