I've always (grudgingly) forked out for the genuine Yanmar ones for ours (2 x 4LHA-STP) but am thinking of trying the reputable UK source for a change.

We've been using an inline galvanic isolator for the last year and the improvement in anode wear is really impressive.

Boat came complete with two sets of genuine Yanmar anodes which were initially used , then replaced with a anode kit with brass fittings from UK supplier.
This year purchased the zinc pencils alone without brass cap, installed using the cleaned out old original brass fittings, few seconds with electric drill to remove remains of old anodes and screw in new zinc pencils .
5 x pencil anodes on each of my HASTE engines.
Sprayed all the brass caps Bright Red , greatly helps to relocate all the well hidden anodes next time they need changing.

The similarity between the genuine Yanmar anode kit , the set from the UK supplier and the ones in the picture from China is of course entirely coincidential, makes you wonder when the price difference between 10 weeny bits of zinc can be £200.00.

I replaced exhaust elbows recently. I ordered from ebay/China and from 2 reputable UK suppliers and compared. I am convinced that they were all from the same source. The price tags varied widely as you might expect.

Replaced a few risers on boats fitted with VP 40/41 diesels, at first you had no choice but as the years went past the Ebay price of aftermarket risers dropped dramatically, seem to recall from something over £220 pounds down to below half that.
Did not notice any reduction in the size and weight of the outer casting and the internal stainless sleeve appeared to be of the same quality of construction.
