Hi All,
Further to a bit of a disaster with my engine service last year, being keen to save a couple of hundred quid and of course ''bond'' with my engine, I'm doing the service myself this year

Now, first (of probably many!) questions. The 3YM20 has an engine oil capacity of 2.7 litres. Try as I might, I cannot get more than a litre of old oil out. I'm using a Pela extractor (wish I'd read the YM review about being slooooow before I bought!) with the pipe running down the dipstick hole. The extractor pipe gets so far into the sump and then stops , possibly touching a baffle plate. The engine is angled at 8 degrees so I really need to be able to get to the aft of the sump.
Is there a specific way of getting close the majority of the oil out? I appreciate I should allow for perhaps 0.3-0.5 litres in the oil filter.
Thanks for any help in advance.
