Hi, can anybody help identify a problem- just purchased a 2004 avon adventurer RIB with a 1998 or 1996 yamaha 30 with autolube( the serial number is 6J8 L 461498).
The engine has an audible alarm for low oil / overheating. The problem is that the alarm goes off after the engine has been running for about 5 minutes-with the water muffs on, not actually in the water. The oil tank is full so I guess it can't be that. The water comes out of the tell tale ok ( but would it be forced out of that anyway by the hose). The seller tells me that a new impellar was fitted recently!. When the engine was switched off, steam exited from the tell tale. Any suggestions? Also any names of good reliable outboard engineers in east sussex?
Thanks
