Yamaha 5HP converting for sailing dayboat use!

I have 2 chainsaws - 2str.... one old Stihl, other new Daewoo.
I have 2 strimmers - 2 str ... one Jonsered, other some chinese copy.
I have 2 Lawntractors - 4 str... both Jonsered
I have a Mini Excavator - 4 str ...
I have a whole range of outboards - all 2strs

All run on plain E5 and E10 without issues. The only difference is that the Outboards - at end of day - I stop engine by closing fuel valve.

a. Trouble with aspen fuel
b. Manufacturer recommendations for or against Aspen fuel

I have tested Aspen for stability, and it does very well, but I'm not aware of any third party testing of long term field use. While anecdotal information is worth sharing, if the problem is widespread there should be back-up.

I had problems with all my small engines, took the mower to local agent who said:- use E5 petrol and Honda fuel stabiliser - also that Aspen was NOT recommended... Changed to E5, added Honda additive(always used previously), all engines now start easily - Honda 2.3; Honda lawnmower (22yrs old);2T strimmer and 2T small generator.

No doubt he was very happy to have a new customer for Honda Stab .......
