I dont think its a rebadged Tohatsu as suggested above but small Yamahas are generally decent engines.
As Kawasaki says they run on 100:1 fuel mix but dont skimp on the oil.
Fog it before storage because there so little oil in the fuel.
It would be wise to have it confirmed that we water pump impeller has been replaced recently... if its not been done in its life getting bolts undone can be tricky.
Cheers for the pointers folks. I went and bought it today looks in decent condition and starts effortlessly. Guy told me 100:1 ratio so ill stick with that. Now all i need is five bloody minutes to myself to get back up to see my little lady![]()

Excuse my ignorance VicS but what does fog it mean:![]()
I would go 50>1 & she will last forever.
100>1 was a sales gimmic
Oh rightwhy would he tell me this?.
many manufacturers ( re-badgers) went for 100>1 to make a sales pitch that the engines were clean running & not oily messy things.
Tohatsu who make most of the small engines, mine a 3.3hp 2 T was 25>1 run in 50>1 normal. This engine will run well be properly lubed.
you use what ever suits you
