Hello,
Hope somebody can help.
I stupidly decided to have a check of my carburettor, after delicately removing the bolt holding it in I then heard a clunk as a plastic gromit of some description dropped off, however I can not see how it goes back on flush. Anybody got a link to anywhere giving details of how to service a yamaha 2.5 hp carburettor?

Cheers.

Just serviced mine. The plastic spacer fits to match the angle of the inlet manifold bore, and the two little nibs fit against the carb. You'll probably need a pair of paper gaskets for £2.59 from Warsash marine. Fiddly job trying to get that lot back on and aligned. Try putting the bolt through the air filter, carb, and gaskets to keep them all aligned as you refit against the block. Easier to take the tank and recoil starter off when reconnecting the choke wire, only 6 easy bolts.
