I'd be surprised if they do.
It's taken me nearly 24 hours to remember where I've seen jets with a gauze filter protecting them ....... it was in a Tilley high pressure camping gas stove !

That brings back memories of when I was a kid. But we used a Tilley high pressure lantern as our main kitchen light. (The bedrooms didn't have lights)

Well it looks like the jet coming out again .
Looking tho it , it look like mess , althought I didn't think there was one in there ,
Too nice to work to day , so it can be left till to morrow now .

If it is mesh, it probably came from somewhere else, so you might want to check for that.
After a nice day's chilling and contemplating over a cold one, of course. These things shouldn't be rushed.

After nine days on the hard , which should had been seven , thinking all I had to change seals on saildrive and touch up a very small chip on the Rudder , turn out I had to change two thought hull , sea cock and pipes , treat some rust spot on the keel which meant I had to re copper coat the keel , while waiting for the CC to go off polish the hull and just when I thought I was finish I woke up this morning after launched last night and found very little water coming out of the exhaust , so that had to be sorted , so yes I think I earned my self a day of rest .
So as normal good advise from your self , I will have a cold one or maybe two , poss three ,

I can confirm that the two jets that screw in the carb , not the long one in the middle have a mesh in them .

I have to say first I tho I was seeing thing , but now 4 of us all Agee there is a very fine mesh in there

I can't see if it would make any different to the jets if I put a small drill and drill it out , what do you think VicS ?

Well yes , but it seen it causes more problem then any thing else , tons of info on the net of the Yamaha carbs causing problem , the mesh is so fine that a 0.00001 of debris would cause a restricting .
