What about your liferaft? Secured by a short painter. Get your mob into raft then transfer to deck. Even if you cant do second bit you can administer first aid and care for your casualty.

Once again, getting that mayday call out as early as possible is, in my opinion, vital.

One of my contingency plans, only problem, I have a 6 man raft which is quite heavy, not sure if my wife could deploy it by herself.

We find the webbing works. It’s easy to get it to sink under the casualty and when you are bringing the casualty up you are not bringing water up.
Never tried it on a yacht, the technique will lift a casualty no problem. On a sailboat you would have to get the past the stantions.

A big shackle at the clew would aid getting it under casualty. Would need to to lift them between stanchions, or at keast their head and trunk(!)

Well understand that the Dartmouth Naval Training College have just started recieving New boats to replace the Picket Boats ; these new boats are I understand called 'Sea Class 15' and will be used to train the upcoming Naval Officers ; these boats are quite different in design to the traditional boats , in some ways more akin to 'floating Class Rooms with facilities' ; well to the point ; they have a platform fitted to the stern , with safety rails around it , and a demo video shows the MoB drill taking place where the Dummy MoB is being hauled aboard the Platform after being fetched with a Boat Hook ; greatstuff

Might suggest a Davit firmly attatched to a Boats Stern might proove to be a better lifting device than attatching a piece of Yacts rigging to the MoB harness ; anyways MoBos dont have rigging , I thought ?
