Yacht Surveyor on Guernsey

Hi All,

I may have a need, in the near future, for a yacht surveyor based on Guernsey.

Any recommendations from members with first hand experience of employing one on the island would be most welcome.

I've used both Buz White and MAP for surveys of my boat. No contrary indications: their reports were thorough and fair.

Buz White is, I think, a one-man operation; he is coxswain of the local RNLI lifeboat. MAP was a two-man operation some years ago, and may be still.

Yes but travel is not expensive & look @ JP's website - he is in the top 5 in the EEC

I used MAP, albeit a few years ago now. They did a good job.

Apologies - MAP don't seem to have an internet presence, and neither are they in the phone book or yellow pages. I can only assume they have ceased trading.

MAP are in my latest telephone directory (Maritime Allied Projects Ltd) but I tried dialling the number - not recognised - perhaps they have gone out of business.
