Frank Jackson marine surveyor.
Details via Google or pm me
Thanks, but I wasn't planning to go down the expensive route - that'd be a night in a hotel as well as the flights. (I had thought of it, but if I did that I'd be asking Oli Byles to do it.)We flew Michael (Alpha Surveys - local to you in Devon) out to Ireland to do our survey
Thanks, but I wasn't planning to go down the expensive route .....
If I use a Devon-based surveyor the survey would cost me the fee plus a return flight to Dublin, plus two nights in a hotel* plus meals. If I use an Irish surveyor who has recognised qualifications supported by recommendations I pay a fee. I'm buying a fairly old 30-footer which I've looked over as best I can afloat and now need somebody competent to look at the bits I can't (water penetration of the balsa core, for example) and to provide a report that will be acceptable to the insurers. If I was paying £50k or more it might be a different matter.Understood, but I don't do 'expensive' !?!

I have the contact details for Vincent Duke and Frank Jackson, thank you. Any further comments on these two, or others, much appreciated.
