Hello
I have a 31ft yacht with a motor that needs to be moved from Brough to North Ferriby and am looking for a qualified person to move it.
If anyone knows of anyone or can recommend someone - please let me know.

A wee bit more information would help. Which Brough are you starting from? Is the boat in or out of the water? Are there any access problems? Does the engine work? Etc, etc, etc. I'm sure that when we know just what the problem is, the forum will be able to come up with a solution.

Was just about to say North Ferriby has no water access, do you mean Sth Ferriby? assume you’ve asked HYC members or committee for help as it’s only across the river

Hello.
Thanks for all the comments - sorry I was so vague and gave incorrect info in my previous post hopefully the following will be better.
I have purchase a yacht which is presently moored at the Humber Yawl Club I have been told that due to a waiting list for membership, on completion of the deal the yacht has to be moved.
She is presently moored in water and the engine runs.
She is a 1962 Cheverton, I am based on the South Coast and would like to bring her to Portsmouth but I have been advised that this is not the time of year.
I have been in contact with South Ferriby Marina about shore storage as I would like to do some work on her.
I am looking for someone to move her from the Humber Yawl Club to South Ferriby - by water

That now makes more sense, Sth Ferriby is a challenge in a number of ways, the lock and bridge have to be pre booked and is EA / council, they only lock for a short period around high water and as the lock is at the end of the flood drain at this time of year may not be available. Very few use Sth Ferriby now, I last went in there 5 years ago. You will also be limited by daylight hours as you will need to leave Brough just before high water as you would need to push the tide to get across in time about 3-4 knts. Trip will take about 45minutes as you cannot easily go straight across due to the mud banks in the middle.

Im a HYC member up work away so cannot help you move her but PM me and I may be able to point you to someone who could. Also if you ask the club secretary they could circulate an email to members asking. The seller of her I would suggest is also good placed to assist, could you make this part of the deal?
PM me if want to

Also just to add, have you looked at Hull marina, would be more costly but probably easier to arrange and in my view easier to get to as it’s to same side of river and tide will take you straight there with few mud challenges along the way. About 1 1/2 hours.

I presume that it is this boat: /www.yachtworld.com/yacht/1963-cheverton-new-campaigner-8385906/

If you are unable/unwilling to move the boat across the river yourself, I would suggest that the above is the best bit of advice you will get on here.
