<<Applicant must be highly motivated...>>

I'm not sure that you can (legally) say this in UK job adverts. It's like saying you want someone who is hardworking and that is considered discriminatory. A couple of years ago there was an advert from a private spectacles retailer and the job agency made them take out that they wanted someone who was hardworking and committed.

The PC issue again... why can't we just say what we are thinking rather than having to continuously think about everything and how it might be interpreted???

I remember a job ad in the MN union newspaper NUMAST for a Pilot in a Sottish port. At the bottom of the ad it said that a braille version of the ad was also available /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Discriminatory against who? The lazy and apathetic?
It wouldn't matter even if it were illegal; those who were being discriminated against wouldn't be bothered to do anything about it. Too much effort. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
