Yacht Delivery Skipper

We need to get a Nicholson 35 from Ramsgate to Brighton.

We aren't competent enough yet to sail her, so need a skipper to take her for us (ideally with us if we can).

Can anyone recommend a delivery skipper/company for us - we need it doing ASAP as the visitor fees at Ramsgate are pretty expensive and we are already paying for a berth in Brighton.

Try searching for Halcyon Yachts of this parish. No interest or connection but know he does deliveries & has posted some good videos on them. Hope this helps.

I've sailed with Chris as well, although it was 10 years ago. He was skippering for PYD at the time. We brought a brand new Najad 51 from the yard in Sweden to Hamble Point.

Might be worth trying Nick Hopwood (BlueSkyNick of these parts) who has just set up in business after some years running the Berthon Marina at Lymington (web site at http://www.blueskymarine.com/commercial_yachting.shtml).

I've crewed on a Channel crossing for him on his Starlight 39, and he seems to know what he's doing

Thanks for the offers of help and suggestions.

Somebody from the forum very kindly offered their assistance and we got her down to Brighton, arriving very early on Sunday morning.

The boat is now safely tucked up in the Marina.

Nice to know that there are friendly folk about ! Was it your first boat Jamie ? I might have to do something similar and have been looking at Brighton as my home marina too.
