Re: I\'m in a quandary

Hi Steve, unfortunately I don't get back from Denmark until the 17th and I have a bow tie do in London on the 19th, therefore we could only make the 20th and that would perhaps be at a push.

Re: I\'m in a quandary

20th seems good for everyone. go for the saturday... and you'll get sunday to recover!!

think of all that fresh air...mmmmm

Re: I\'m in a quandary

sounds a perfect solution - you only have to get from London to Poole on the morning of the 20th instead of all the way from Norfolk!
See you there.

You\'ll need protection....

Greetings motorboaters! Can I come and play? You may need protection - some of the pubs (sorry, cafes) around here are a bit rough. Friday night especially. The marines have been known to assist some of the locals onto the street - via the (usually unopened) windows. It really is a stonkin' place to get a blast of sea air, though. PBO is based in Poole, and we have our very own RIB with a 115 on the back at Cobbs ( keep an eye on PBO from now on - it says sail and POWER on the cover, after all..) so if you want a quick blast (no speed limit after Oct) around the harbour, we may be able to accommodate! Mulled wine on Long island, anyone?

Re: You\'ll need protection....

Brilliant! Of course you can come and play, the more the merrier, especially when it involves our boaty magazine friends.

Hee! a PBO Rib eh!!

Re: You\'ll need protection....

i dare say if you turn up on saturday 20th dec, you'll be made more than welcome.

a blast around the harbour on the company boat sounds like fun, and as for getting thrown out of pubs... sorry cafes on the quay, well we're not noisey or offensive, nor do we tend to stick out, and as we're all tee total there's never any hint of an argument... Hmm?.... and i'm a right big bugger!!!

Please confirm you are going to come on the "ad hoc on water events" post.

regards, steve.

Re: You\'ll need protection....

you are of course more than welcome to come and play - you are registered forum member and thats all it takes!
The more boats (and mulled wine) the merrier........../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

btw care with the generalisation about the harbour limit - only relaxed in the main channel and strictly not between buoys 20 and 10 although the almanac doesnt list that bit.

Re: I\'m in a quandary

That's not a bad thought! Mind you judging by certain people I know who will be there, I'm not sure how much sense will be got out them on the "morning after the night before" /forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Re: I\'m in a quandary

/forums/images/icons/smile.gif It may well happen - depends what she wants to do and if I have to take loads of giggling 15 year olds off to obscure places like paint ball venues and such like. Also if SHMBO lets me out/forums/images/icons/wink.gif
