They have had a recall. After several unsuccessful attempts to arrange a pick up I cannot seem to get them to answer e-mails any more, and the recall telephone number is not available. have they ceased trading?

I bought one from LIBS from Jimmy Green Marine. The sales guy told me that they had the recall contract to attach the extra webbing on behalf of XM. May be worth giving them a call if you are still having difficulties?

This topic was on the forum fairly recently. One member posted that after XM arranged for pick up, the work on his chair was actually done by Jimmy Green IIRC. Might be worth asking them, (and tell them to bill XM ! )

Yup! thats the man, I've had at least 4 e-mails not replied to, so I tried to phone him at 11.30 on the recall number, it is dead, so I managed to source another number, I phoned XM, Fck me he's out to lunch at 11.37ish, but they will get him to contact me later. It is now later.
Sorry in my state of ire I forgot to thank you all for your help. I will contact Jimmy Green and listen to what he has to say

dont know how to link to it but if you look at my posting on liveaboard link you will find a list of disgruntled XM customers and many like yourself , me included that have been messed around..... took them 4 monthes and finally demands for a refund to get them to fix it !!

Hum - I am still waiting for a pickup - 2 weeks now. Perhaps its time for a small claim court action - product unfit for purpose?

Bit unfair but, I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's nearly a month for me. If the service is this bad I don't know if I want it collected cos I may not get it back. They did have the temerity to send me an e-mail telling me not to use it. I bought it from a local chandlers so I may give them a go.
