Anyone about & afloat on the Orwell over the holidays?

We've got family commitments 22-26 Dec, but apart from that I'm hoping for a few days afloat at least.
Due to crap weather/work/exams it's been 3 weeks since our last sail. Getting withdrawal symptoms.

How about a repeat of last year's X-Mas sail?
I might even be persuaded to offer seasonally boat-less peeps a ride. Knowing your way around the galley is a plus as Mrs Guapa will be working.

Went down to Ipswich to give the boat a clean and checkover today, hoping for a sail next weekend and over the holiday. Will look out for you! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

We've moved round to SYH so we can get out and back without having to wait for the tides at Woodbridge, so may see you. Subject to warm sunny weather, palm trees, bluebirds and white sand - you know, usual Orwell stuff.

Was down on Friday night to move the boat down the river to SYH, coming out tomorrow, then it's off to Cambridge for a bit. If it wasn't for having two toddlers, I would be happy to learn my way round your galley!

We're planning to be out on the Orwell this coming weekend weather permitting and again after Christmas (having toyed with the idea of Christmas aboard). Look out for Marmalade. We'll give you a shout if we see any of you...

Boat stuck in ramsgate after becoming stormbound a week ago. Hoping to bring her back next weekend, so will be out and about around the Orwell over the Xmas period.
We've passed each other a number of times this year but yet to be looking towards each other at the same time for a cheery wave!

I've walked past your boat many times since she's appeared next to The Lightship but you've never been on board to say hello to. Beyond Reason is still in the water on Pontoon J (just a little way away from Guapa), so our paths should cross at some time soon. Although BR is in the water, she is fully winterised, so no sailing for me until the Spring. After winterising her, I tried to book her crane out, but was told there was no room left on the hard. Should have booked earlier. Will know next time. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

If Guapa's there - we're not there.
If Guapa's not there - we're there (off sailing).

The round trip to the boat's over 200 mls - just "popping is" would be expensive.
Though I was around last Saturday.

If the weather's half decent, we'll be around this Saturday too.

Hope to be there over the holiday period. Will try and choose the best days (if there are any). We're at Woolverstone. Boat's called Start Again. How do we recognise/find you lot?

If anyone is shorthanded in the next few weeks, although I'm a novice to larger boats, I'm fit, friendly and always willing to learn! (Course booked for 25 Jan). Comes with or without even more friendly wife! Colchester based.
